The cats we raise

Thai Burmese

The natural companion cats of Thailand

For centuries the cats of Thailand have been celebrated in the Tamra Maew — the ancient Cat-Book Poems that describe the auspicious companion cats of Siam. These poems, written long before Western registries existed, record cats that lived alongside Thai families as cherished household members. They were never “created” by breeders chasing a standard. They simply existed as a natural population.

In their homeland these cats form a continuous spectrum of color and type. Western registries later developed and standardized three separate breeds from that continuum, primarily according to coat-color genetics: Burmese (full color), Tonkinese (mink/intermediate), and Siamese (pointed). Over time, many Western lines became closed and highly selective for extreme show type, sometimes at the expense of genetic diversity and the original robust health.

We raise Thai Burmese cats for a different purpose. Our goal is not to invent something new or chase man-made show standards. We work to preserve and replicate what nature has already produced in Thailand for hundreds of years: healthy, genetically diverse, deeply people-oriented companion cats with the classic dog-like temperament that has always defined them.

Every kitten is a Thai Burmese companion. Some express more Burmese-type coloring, some more Tonkinese-type or Siamese-type, but all share the same extraordinary ability to bond. Individual temperament matters more than any label. Our job is to match the right kitten to your home, lifestyle, and expectations — whether you want a quiet lap companion or an outgoing, playful family member.
