These are the everyday practices that help our kittens grow into confident, healthy cats. We share them here so you know what to expect — and so you can picture the kind of home your kitten will love.
Family-first placement+
Our kittens are raised to be loved members of a family. We place them as companions, not for breeding programs, so they can settle into a home built on attention, affection, and routine.
Spay or neuter by six months+
Spaying or neutering by around six months of age is part of responsible care. It supports a calmer temperament, prevents unwanted litters, and protects long-term health. We are happy to help you time it with your veterinarian.
Vaccination timing that protects them+
We use killed-virus vaccines only and give them at least four weeks apart. We avoid giving multiple vaccines on the same day, and we do not vaccinate on the same day as a spay or neuter. Your kitten will leave with a medical record, and we encourage you to share it with your licensed veterinarian so the two of you can plan the next steps together.
A safe indoor life+
Our kittens are indoor cats. A predictable indoor environment keeps them safe from traffic, predators, parasites, and disease. Leashed walks or a secure, escape-proof catio are fine if you would like to give them a little fresh air.
Caring for claws, never declawing+
Declawing is not something we allow or recommend. It is painful and changes the way a cat walks and interacts with the world. Instead, we help families set up scratch-friendly spaces — good posts, acceptable surfaces, and a little patience while kittens learn the house rules.
A lifelong commitment, with support+
We expect every kitten to stay with the family they join. If life changes and you can no longer care for your cat, please reach out to us before making any other arrangements. We will do our best to help you find a safe, responsible next home.
First vet visit+
We ask every new family to schedule a veterinary exam within seven days of bringing a kitten home, or within three days if you already have other cats. It is a good chance to establish care, ask questions, and make sure everyone starts off healthy and comfortable.
What cats need to thrive+
Good nutrition, fresh water, clean litter, warm places to rest, safe spaces to climb and play, regular veterinary care, and plenty of gentle company. These basics are the foundation of a happy, well-adjusted cat.
