A family, three breeds, and the kind of companion you don’t quite believe is a cat.
When Ginger and Kirk first got married, they decided on cats. They never expected those early companions to follow them from room to room, demand attention, and feel more like devoted little shadows than typical cats. The joy and connection that followed led them to start Companion Cats and Kittens.
Today we are a home-based cattery in the Dallas area, raising Thai Burmese kittens (Burmese, Tonkinese, and Siamese types) for the same thing our own family wanted: affectionate, people-oriented companions with a dog-like loyalty who choose to stay near you. These cats greet you at the door, join you wherever you are, and thrive on being part of daily life.
Every litter is raised inside our home. Kittens are held daily, socialized in the everyday rhythm of family life, and thoughtfully matched with households where they will thrive. Our breeding cats are carefully health-screened and selected first for temperament and genetic diversity rather than the show ring. We are grateful to build on the incredible work of Dr. Douglas Schar of Indian Spring Cats, whose long focus on health, personality, and genetic diversity has shaped the companions we raise today.
More than 200 kittens have now gone to their forever homes. The photos and videos that arrive from CCK families continue to fill our hearts. We always enjoy hearing how our companions are settling into their new lives.
If you’re looking for a companion that feels different from a regular cat, we would love to help you find the right one.
